About Us

Since 1984, United Way of Kentucky has been serving local communities by assisting local United Ways in Kentucky to build healthier and more caring communities. We work with the volunteers and United Way professionals from across the Commonwealth to create opportunities for a better life for all Kentuckians.

Our focus is on providing training and technical assistance to member United Ways, working to promote the United Way throughout the state, managing the Kentucky Employees Charitable Campaign, coordinating crisis response in times of emergencies and public policy. These services are aimed toward enabling and empowering member United Ways to advance the common good and accomplish their own local objectives.

Currently, we are supported by 21 local United Ways which help Kentuckians build stronger, healthier, and safer communities across 88 counties. United Way of Kentucky is a 501(c)3 health and human services organization governed by a state-wide volunteer board of directors.
